A pasta dish is only as good as the sauce; and our sauce is as good as sauce gets!
We begin our old world family heritage meat sauce with a traditional soffritto, gently sauteing classic aromatics and vegetables in olive oil, then slowly building layers of flavor by browning carefully selected cuts of pork, beef and veal; deglazing and adding hand-milled tomatoes, herbs and imported cheeses. An all day labor of love; slow, long cooking and constant vigilance develops depth and texture, while cooking out the tomatoes acidity, bringing our rich hearty Sunday sauce to perfection!
In response to requests from our guests, Tony's Southside is proud to now offer our Sunday sauce in three sizes: 8 ounce, perfect for serving one or two meals; 16 ounce serves four to six, and our family size 32 ounce for larger entertaining. We take such pride in our sauce that we include reheating instructions, to preserve the taste, quality and texture of our gorgeous sauce.
